Another Close Friend
September 20, 1988

|
I comforted you when you were down
Went out with you on the town
Tell me how do I get around
Being another close friend...
We talked until the hours wee
What's troubling you, what's bothering me
Can you tell me if what you see
Is just another close friend...
Like looking for food and a shelter find
I am grateful for such an offer kind
When I follow my heart but not all the signs
And get another close friend...
I know you think that I've got some nerve
Comparing our feast to little more than hors d'oeurves
But sometimes I wonder if I deserve
Having another close friend.
