Ode To The Vax-Virgin
September 19, 1986
|
|
|
(you don't sing this one)
Oh, vax-virgin, how can it be
that you are so smart and yet so silly?
You try to type programs at the dollar-sign
and wonder why it can't interpret the line.
And when you finally get to edit a file
is it any wonder that the rest of us smile?
You hunt and you peck to find the right key
to delete that pesky line with the [EOB].
And then when you exit, you still wonder why
your program won't save when you type control-Y.
But the ultimate line that makes us all cough
is "Will my program be saved when I turn the thing off?"
