A Changing Of Seasons

Fall is the reason -- that the trees turn brown
And fall is the reason -- that the leaves come down
And I tell myself that it's not because she's gone
And I tell myself that it won't be very long.
Clouds are the reason -- that the sun never shines
And clouds are the reason -- I so dimly see the light
And I tell myself that there's more than shades of grey
And I tell myself that she didn't take the sun away.
A changing of seasons -- signals colder days ahead
And seeing the reasons -- doesn't clear them in my head
And I tell myself that she didn't cause the world to end
And I tell myself that summer will come again.
